BoostCon 2012

Generic Programming

Although Generic Programming (as developed by Alexander Stepanov and Dave Musser) is the foundation of the STL, its principles are poorly understood by many programmers. Yet, a firm grasp of Generic Programming is immensely powerful when writing reusable code, and is essential to effective use of the C++ standard library, TR1 extensions, and Boost Library.

Boostpro associates (including David Abrahams) are among the world’s leading experts in this field, and are constantly advancing the state of the art. We apply the principles of Generic Programming in our software development work and recommend making our Generic Programming seminar a part of any C++ training curriculum.
